Bricked Bats is simultaneously a poetic examination of the quotidian and the mundane, the use of repetition of image and metaphor, and the ways thought and feeling can be recycled and how metamorphosis can be applied to our patterns of perception. Bricked Bats is nothing "else than an illegible book portraying an expanse of nothing out of something." Ultimately,Bricked Bats is a collection of prose poems that creates its own junkyard for the reader to pick over.

RECIPE FOR DISASTER
Is this the one with too much salt? Or was it too much metal shavings?
Having it come out right is crucial. There's no room for error.
If error enters, something else must leave. Two objects occupying the same space would be pushing it.
Unless that arrangement were considered cozy. In that case, error enters, gets closer, closer, tries to squeeze in, keeps deflecting all talk on what it might be up to. . . |
